Why people start vaping? Recently UPENDS made a research, which concludes that people start vaping for various reasons. Here are the main five reasons.

1. An Alternative to Smoking

We all know that tobacco and smoking is dangerous to health because it burns and produces carcinogens such as tar and carbon monoxide. E-cigarette and vaping, typically have a heating element that atomizes a liquid solution called e-liquid, therefore it is less harmful as it does not produce tar and carbon monoxide like smoking, with NHS England estimating it to be around 95% less harmful than smoking. Therefore, more and more smokers turn to vaping. 

2. Relaxation

There are also a large number of people vaping with e-cigarette for relaxation. Modern life is stressful on their busy work and life. There is lots of stress-reliever methods coming out and popular, such as yoga, reading, and sports. Recent years, as an alternative to smoking, vaping is also becoming popular for stress-reliever.

3. Various  Flavors

Vaping is not exclusive for smokers, because you can vape without nicotine. Many people take vape products in order to experience various flavor of e-juice, such as coffee, mint, tea, and all kinds of fruit flavors. It is literally impossible to run out of flavor options once you start vaping, which is one huge reason why vaping becomes popular.

4. Social Reasons

Some people start vaping because of social reasons, such as to keep common interest with their friends, or to make new friends in some vape communities. There are vape activities at bars, vape shops or other places where vapors unite and inhale together. Within the community tips and gadgets are exchanged and it’s seen as a way to make new friends. 

5. A New Hobby

Some people start vaping to develop a new hobby, just like some people crazy about cars or photography. Especially recently years, as e-cig industry develops fast with technological improvement in coils, pods or tanks, and flavors, vaping becomes a new way to find interest and satisfaction for those with a thirst for knowledge and an ability to create and invent. Vaping hobbyists want to know everything about e-cigarette. They typically have multiple devices and know exactly how to get the most out of every vape device. And among those who see vaping as a hobby, there is a growing core of people who are expert in vaping pushing the current technology of vape industry to a higher level.
